How Power Savers Work
ES – PES a state-of-the-art electrical technology to actively monitor and improve the power factor, harmonics and transient – surge of your buildings.

ES – PES unit reduces the amount of power drawn from the utility by storing otherwise lost and wasted electricity caused by the inductive appliances in your buildings.

Inductive loads – some examples of inductive motors are Air Conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, PC, printing machine, dishwashers, pool pumps, vacuum cleaners, furnace blower motors, fans etc, and Resistive loads – example – oven, light bulbs, electric heaters, etc.

The Electrical energy delivered to resistive appliances is almost completely consumed by the appliance. While electrical energy is consumed in pure resistive loads, electrical energy is not completely consumed in pure inductive and capacitive loads.

The technology applied by the ES – PES supplies that stored electricity back to your inductive loads, thus causing you to decrease your demand from the utility. If you decrease your demand from the utility, you use less electricity.

Three important things plays a role in your equipment life:
Poor – lower Power Factor is caused by inductive loads such as electric motors, Transformers and highintensity
discharge lighting that increases the amount of energy required by your electrical equipment to do its
work needs heat that reduces the useful life of electrical equipment.

Harmonic Interference is caused by non-linear loads such as computers, printers, TV, DVD, fax machines, copy machines and variable frequency drives that create heat which increases energy usage and damages electrical equipment causing increased repair, maintenance and replacement costs.

Transient surges and spikes are caused by turning electrical equipment on and off, lightning, utility grid changes and back-up power supplies that attack electrical equipment causing increased repair, maintenance and replacement costs.
